Brave and good work. Keep experimenting. Try using Difference as a Layer Blending option. See what that will do when you drop a picture upon a picture. It is great to meet a brother on the road, Ellsworth Weaver

Just calls 'em like I sees 'em. This piece reminded me of what I was doing about three years ago. Actually, it is better than what I was doing, but the colors and the mix felt similar. So I dropped you the hint to see what you can do with it. Next, fill up a layer with a gradient or maybe some rock or both. Then lay it in over your pic and use a blending mode of difference or overlay or softlight. Mess with it. Double it up. Move it up or down. Layer that original over it again. Layers are the key. Take a copy of a layer and blur the hell out of it with Gaussian (maybe 60 pixels). Then drop it on the original in Softlight. Gets the glow going. All of this is fun to do. Keep me informed when you post your play stuff. Ells

Hey! Thanx for the suggestions! Now I have so many versions of this .......and I love all of them! I'll start uploading them within a week, bloody exams are on. Thank you for the tips.

I knew that all you would need would be just one little push and you would be off with it. Once you upload those, I will show you one or two more small hints and see how you play with those. Then maybe you can teach me some of the wild things you do. Deal? I swear, I am not too old to learn a few new tricks.
